This would apply to anyone with a similar laser with a small working area. The Mr Carve M1 and M1 Pro state a 70mm square working area and burn size. The lens on my M1 Pro is a 100 though and that seems to equate somewhat to the maximum area that can be used.
Somewhere I mention that I can't see how a different lens can affect the laser power.
with a change of focal length comes a change is laser dot size, that is where the reduction in power comes from, a larger dot means less power...

BslAppSimple
Settings = Workspace = 100mm
Lower corner -50 X -50 Y
Draw a 100mm square at 0,0
Press F3 adjust target size
Press OK.
Press F1
Measure resulting Red outline.
Quit and press F3
Adjust targer size and enter actual size.
Save and repeat measurement.
Results should be a perfect 100mm square and a massive increase in working size.
