I noticed on the M1 Facebook page some issues with faulty mains cables.
If your machine is dead or intermittent check the mains cable, plug and fuse first.
Over the years I have had the following faults with mains cables from China.
New IEC cables have been short circuit, blowing the fuse at switch on.
New IEC cables have been open circuit, resulting in no power at all.
Used cables can have internal breaks in the wiring causing intermittent operation.
Plug top fuses can fail for no reason, always fit the correct type and rating.
Plug top fuses can, rarely, be intermittent.
