I will let you decide if this is a £1000 plus piece of equipment...
The red dot pointer can be replaced. Splice the new one in to the correct cables inside the machine or in the flexi wiring tube.
The soldering is without doubt the worst I have ever in 40 years of repairing electronics and I have seen some bad work.

it's truly shocking how poorly these things are assembled. The soldering job looks like an amateur did it.
